I'm sure most of the world doesn't know who Steve Gleason is. However, we in New Orleans know him as a hometown folk hero. He made a name for himself when he blocked a punt for a touchdown in the first home game after Hurricane Katrina.
He came back to the Superdome today to publicly announce that he has ALS. It is already affecting his muscles.

| I also know someone who is dying with this disease. He came out of a coma after about a week but he doesn't have much time left. |

They gave him a Super Bowl ring and a key to the city in a ceremony the other day. He was part of one of the most memorable moments in Saints history!!
