Very excited if these specs are accurate. As they have given me, the exact upgrades I required from the mark II.
Cross your fingers!

Information from Canon Rumours
■24MP
■Pro grade AF (not 7D like)
■2 stops better ISO than 5D mk II
■Digic V
■6 fps
■New video codec, not Raw. MPEG 4:2:2, new video functions such as tracking focus in video mode
■Compact body with improved weather sealed
■Same introduction price as the predecessor

Hmmm. Not to much for me to personally get excited about spending the $$$. Tracking focus would be cool and since I've been doing more sports photography 6 fps would be nice. Always like noise improvement, but saying something like that is always easy for the rumor mill to throw out. If it really meant virtually noiseless ISO 6400, then I'd sit up and notice.

Well, I'D certainly sit up and take notice just as described above. But I'm still running the legacy 5D, patiently waiting for the MK3...

Problem is, the Canon Rumors guy gives this rumor a 1/2 on a scale of 0 to 3, with zero being a joke and three being good as done. He has also recently said that he believes Canon will not release a new dslr until 2012.

I read somewhere that it might also have 60fps for the video, which would be great for slow motion stuff.
I don't care much if the MP's are up to 24 (though it would be better for my stock photography) but I don't want to come at the cost of an even better high ISO performance than the 5D2.

Me three. I think there's an awful lot of us in that boat. My 5D body turns six the 28th of this month. Still cranks out great images, but I almost definitely will be upgrading to the MkIII, assuming that they control costs. The 5D will will become my second body. Not parting with this one, nope, no sir.

The 1Ds MkIV may come first.

I'd actually be a little surprised if it didn't... it's an even older body, about a year prior to the 5DII.
