I'll bet anything that at some point someone in the studio knew or found out it may be sewage but just didn't want to say it on live tv !

I've seen it in Atlantic City, NJ in the 80's, I worked a beach chair concession and on a clear day once some serious sea foam came ashore. A offshore storm had passed the night before. At the time the beach was very long and shallow, so the high and low tides were far apart. About forty feet of thick light brown foam came in ahead of the tide and about a foot tall in places. I think its basically the same as a protein skimmer for a saltwater aquarium, mix air bubbles and high organic water and you create foam. Though, that reporter was standing in some serious nasty! Seemed to be two or three feet in places. Salty ugh, still better than standing on top of a Russian steel beam!! |
