Spotted these 3 Legged Thing tripods on another site and thought they seemed pretty cool and well priced. Anyone got any experience with them?

don't all TRIpods have three legs?

I suspect they do, but I also suspect that some may be better than others. Hence my question...

Have no idea about the quality of that brand, but the price looks a bit steep. This is the tripod that my brother and I use, it is made of carbon fiber (really light), it is very sturdy, leg locks are tight and precise and it has a tilt center column, I am very happy with it. The price obviously compares favorably with the 3 legged thing.

Thanks for the reply, and I don't doubt the quality of the Manfrotto brand. However the model you linked to is one of their more 'budget' models and doesn't include a head for the $290 price tag. On the other hand the top of the range 3-Legged-Thing is only around $370, including the ball head.
