Don't give up on me :). I'm slowly getting all the challenges compiled. Currently I have the data to challenge 717 (July 2007) with over 13400 unique users entering a challenge.
The more data retrieved the slower Excel runs, so it's takes about 2 1/2 minutes to get one challenge. Even though I have a 4-Core / 8GB computer it heats up the system to much and causes the program not to respond if I try to get more that 25 or so challenges at one time.
Currently DPC has finished challenge 1417 so I'm about half way there.
Anyone with VBA / Macro knowledge would like to help me create a macro to speed up the process feel free to contact me.
The macro I'm using know was created by Kirbic for another project and I thank him for his time and effort. It's a great macro but gathers more info than needed on this project. If I had a macro that only did the necessary data recovery and functions needed it may be faster.
Keep looking - I should have the User Percentile Ranks complete in the near future.

Indeed. An amazingly dedicated fellow.
In fact, there should be such an award. FDPC - Fellow of DPChallenge!
Thanks Scott |
