Yes. You might be able to find some way to make it illegal, but generally - yes. The biggest issue this presents is the rarity of a white vignette, which may make your image identifiable now that you've posted this comment.

Welcome back, sorta. I had no idea.

LOL, thanks! I really hadn't realized it had been that long either. Tempus fugit!

Now, we'll see how well my entry does. I'm really not expecting a high score, but I just had to do this shot.

Now is the moment, like the end of "Spaticus" when we all stand forward and say "I used a white vingette".

I have visions of a bunch of Romans standing around spitting. ;-)

ETA: or were you typing with a Boston accent??

That'd be "Spahticus" I think :-)

Even after years of exposure I still can't figure out if I like or hate that accent...

Funny enough, I actually used a white vignette on a few things yesterday.

So, should I go with more interesting subject or better technicals? ;D

I was thinking Tony Curtis' lovely Bronx accent from the Kubrick film of 1960. "Eye yam Spaticus". It is my second favorite of his varied movie lines, second only to his immortal reading in "The Black Knight Shield of Falworth" (1954) of the line "Yanda lies the caastle of my faddah"

Well, I had this INGENIOUS idea, and my wife wouldn't model for me. So while I was out, I had the opportunity to do it, and let me tell you, being 'eaten alive', while trying to stay still, and holding the D7000+105 Macro in the other arm, it is VERY difficult to get a clear, sharp, in focus picture of a mosquito biting you! Think if I would have had my Mono I could have pulled it off...maybe!

Since this was not even close to an option for an entry I figured I'd share it...because well...I let a mosquito bite me for 2 minutes. :-)

Only got bit once, the situation just came up on its own, and right before I smashed it, I figured I'd let it do it's thing. I was going to have an 'after' smashed shot, but the lil vampire flew off (very slowly), right before I planned on doing it.

I have a feeling that there will be a number of interesting bug-stalking stories populating this thread once the challenge is over!

Yup, should have entered one of the outtakes. :)

My aesthetic is not very vote-grabbing, as usual!
