| I am on google + with an invite, but I am not really understanding it all....reminds me of the invite for google wave....this looks like it took the best of goggle wave, and came up with a whole new type of social site. |

| I'm jumping straight in as soon as I can get an invite. I closed my facebook account years ago because I don't trust them one bit and because of the lack of ability to separate groups of people. This sounds ideal for me, looking forward to it. I'll do my best to make all my friends switch from facebook too :) |

Hey - If anyone's got a spare invite they are not using - Could you kick me one please :-)
Like above - I hate facebook & some others so have been looking for a viable option. If anyone is looking for a flick replacement - have a look at 500px... nice layout. |

Remember when Facebook was so exclusive? Gmail too, why? Why is G+ so paranoid of new accounts?

It's still in development / testing. If they opened the floodgates it would most likely crash the limited servers they have it running on, so they restrict the numbers and let it build up gradually through the invite system and at the same time ramp up capacity as required.
It also seems to build up interest, everyone clamouring for an invite spreads the word and generates excitement about it.

So even if you have an invite it won't work for ya until they upgrade. I'd imagine Monday will see new members.

Oh that makes total sense. I thought it was just for the interest. |
