My sympathies. My scores were very weird too, see Calendar thread.

Voters at the start of the challenge were definitely more generous. Approximately midway my score was at 6.45, then it started a continuos slide down to 6.13 at rollover. Good votes / blah votes are usually spread out a little more uniformly. I think many people experienced this same vote behavior.

I started on a 6.9 in one challenge after 20 votes and went down and finished to a 6.2!

Yeah, but 20 votes isn't *close* to a representative sample. 60 is more like it, 100 is better yet. It was the same for me in this challenge, BTW: I was looking at 7+ for quite a while, then skidded all the way down to the high 6.6 range, and clawed back to 6.8ish on the last day. Very unusual.

I might repeat here what happened to me in this challenge - my score went down ON ROLLOVER from 6.5606 at 132 votes to 6.5191 at 131. How is it possible? Apart from removing one vote some other votes must have been adjusted down at the same time! The difference is 12 so if it were a 10 that was removed someone lowered the score by 2 at the last moment, or any other combination. Pretty annoying though to see such a big drop on rollover as it meant a drop from #6 to #10. Very unlucky and disappointing.

You don't know how many votes were scrubbed; there could have been, for example, 4 votes scrubbed and 3 last-minute voters. I've actually had bigger rollover drops myself twice, but that IS pretty extreme :-)
