I've been looking for a really long off-camera flash cord that uses the flash shoe. I have one now that's about 2 feet, coiled. I already have a pc flash cord, which is why I need one that connects to the shoe so I can use a second flash at the same time. I'd love to find one that's at least 10 feet (15 or 20 feet would be ideal), but since I haven't found one yet, I'm not sure they exist. I figured I'd search the vast knowledge of DPC too, just to make sure : )
I know I can get the use of more flashes through IR/radio triggers and whatnot, but those have not been as reliable for me in bright sunlight, which is where I work most of the time.
So yeah, have any of you come across really long flash cords that connect to the flash shoe? Thanks! |

Maybe this will help... //ocfgear.com/
eta: Looks like the 33 footers are out of stock, but they have the 16 foot.

Yes, that's the site I was going to recommend, but beware that it's common to wait a long time for stock to arrive. OCF is Syl Arena's business, and he is the author of the very popular Speedlighter's Handbook. He's well known and uses these cables and started marketing them. He's only had a couple runs of them so far and trying to find the best vendor to manufacture them and keep up with the large amount of orders has been a challenge for Syl.
He's a nice guy though, and he won't screw you over. It just might take awhile to get the longer one if you order it. Just wanted to give you a head's up.

Choices! Even better : ) Thanks!
And thanks, David, for the recommendation. It's really nice to have someone vouch for products so I know I'm dealing with a good company. |
