New goals seem to be actually realistic now...

Goals -
-Get all 6+ scores on my page
-Receive an honorable mention award
-Get a 6.5XXX on any challenge entry
-Get my average score above a 5.25
-Ribbon (also making the home page is a goal which means I need to ribbon)
-Meet more people from DPC.

Here are some stats that I have been able to get lately...

------The last 3 challenges I have entered have raised up my average nearly 0.2XXX

------A free study score of over 6.2 for me is saying something.

------I am on the right track of getting yet another 6+ score added to my page with minimal landscape with this

------I have gained a my second favorite during voting with my free studies entry along with an added favorite after voting ended.

------I did my first FOR REAL family shoot for a friend of mine.
This in turn (when I put up the images onto FB for them) made people want me to take photos for them as well and now I have two more photoshoots nearly set up to go as soon as I recover enough from this surgery.

------My first entry here at DPC received a whopping score of 4.2 the next a 4.0 and the next after that a 3.8... I now have to scroll down to 4/20/2010 to see my last sub 5 score.

With all that being said, my goals that I have officially updated onto my profile now seem to be in sight.

I am not entirely sure what happened with my photography lately but I like it.

What is happening is you are learning one little thing at a time, applying it, and all those small lessons are now coming together as overall improvement in your photography.

Dude!

If you don't crank in a 4.xxxx or less once in a while, you're not pushing hard enough. One of my challenge lists (Page 3, I think) has me with a 4.747 and a 7.0278! LOL!!!

I'm pretty happy about that. It means I'm taking chances, and going for it, damn the scores.

Be happy that your average goes up, but don't forget to try things outside your comfort zone, either.

Congrats on your 6+ front page.....I remember how that felt, too! This place is really a special place to learn and get the most amazing help from the community.
