I own a 602z and am interested in purchasing a teleconverter.
I've looked on fujifilm's UK site and they have a 2x lens :
//www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/accessories/accessory.php?id=133
but it says "requires AR-FP48/68"..... whats this? I can't find any mention of it.
I already have the 55mm extension tube : AR-FX9, will it work OK with this??
Also, has anyone used the 2x or the 1.5x? Is one bettter than the other (besides the obvious fact that one has an 'increased zoom')

i use the Olympus TCon-17 teleconverter with my regular 55mm extension tube. Seems to work fine and i like the results.
i'm not sure about UK's equivalents. I ordered the extension tube from Camera Gear and the teleconverter from Adorama

To judge from the picture, it looks like the 2x convertor is for the Fuji 4800/6800 cameras, so it will not fit your 602z.

As far as I know you only get the 1.5x tele and a wide angle converter for the 602.
Could be wrong though.

you can indeed get a teleconverter and wide angle for the s602
just look for some on ebay. right now i have the 55-52mm extension tube, so my 2x teleconverter has a 52mm thread. it's cool if you wanna get a shot of something far away, but it's definitely not of super high quality, so the quality of your shots will suffer..
they're not too expensive on ebay. so it's worth a look on there. good luck!

Like Sher said, the Olympus TCON-17 is the best teleconverter out there for the Fuji 602. I use to have one when I owned the 602. It's sharp and has no light fall off. If you're looking for a good sharp tele, then look no farther.

the thing is, with teleconverters, if you ever decide to go to wide angle, you get an UGLY BLACK CIRLE around your shot. Is there any teleconverter for the f717 that wont do this?

Thanks Sher and Danny for your input regarding the olympus teleconverter. I also have been considering purchasing the Fuji 1.5x as I didn`t realise there was another option.
I see that they are available over here in Britain from around £79 which is slightly cheaper than the Fuji as well as being marginally more powerful.
