I've been most amused by all this (thanks).
I have to say though, this Rapture stuff is no less fantastic, no less implausible, no less wrong than the notion of 'God'. Although it provides us with an easier opportunity to debunk it, myths are myths - no matter how popular they are.

I feel bad for the people who believe what he says, lost so much.. for nothing really. I mean ok, sure they were kinda boneheads for not listening to their loved ones.. but odds are they were mailable people to start with. No offence to anyone on the site who believed it. |

I feel bad for them too, but not because they're mailable, but because they're freaking idiots. I'm surprised he didn't have a backup plan that included kool-aide. (And my spell checker wanted to change it to kook-aide, ROFL!) |

Nope, nor has Thor, the Great Spaghetti Monster nor the Gitche Manitou. That's the nice thing about faith...you either have it or you don't.

To those who believed in the May 21st hoopla.
So you were wrong ... buck up ... It could be worse. It's not like it's the end of the world or something.
Oh, and check out the photos of the Flash Rapture Mob ...

Sometimes those Facebook quotes crack me up...
"We can't even predict the weather and now some dumb ass is trying to predict the apocalypse..." |

If your reference is to the mass "suicide" perpetrated by the People's Temple leader Jim Jones, it was not Kool-Aid® brand drink which was used to convey the poison. The cliché is based on mis-information. |
