I believe this is a topic that is not often explored here at DPC. I have searched and found a few shots, but never an entire challenge...

The Challenge: Slow Sync Flash
The Description: Using your camera's flash and a long exposure, take an interesting photo using the slow sync flash technique. Shoot handheld or use a tripod.

Make sure you title your photo Slow Sync Flash! (<-- haha! Just kidding about that!)

Automatic Point and shooters can use party mode or night shot mode to achieve the effect, I believe.

I'm up for this challenge. I love slow sync.

Nice idea for a topic... but don't try it in a regular challenge :-)

I didn't realize that popping a flash on a long exposure was called that. Is that term new?

Sometimes it can work for you in a regular challenge:

sounds cool, kind of sounds like it would end up like a challenge we had not long ago, wasn't there one involving double exposure in a single capture or something like that?

Yeah difference is that's a great shot vs. mine which is stuffing around with a flash and is a snapshot :-)

My entry in the camera bag challenge wasn't much appreciated for the rear sync efforts that I put into it. It's not that great of a shot, but it probably would have done better in this challenge that's being suggested.

I drag the shutter often for nudes in abandoned buildings and such, but I'm gonna guess that DPC voters are going to want to see motion blurs and such.
