Same here. Just back on the happy side of 6. Hoping it'll be maintained.
I love how my Android app works for challenges too :)

Come on SEG...Post an update. 5.66 is pretty good. In my experience...currently with Fences...I was at 5.6 for a while but now steady at about 5.3.
Rugman says he is in but didn't post a score....I wonder why?

Told ya so. Still better than my usual so no complaining. Going to bed so I can wake up to a 5.5 or lower. |
And boom goes the dynamite.

You gotta remember, just because a point of view is normal to you, it may be unique to others. |

Hmm, maybe. However, without picking on any particular shot in this challenge, lets say hypothetically you shoot a scene in a busy shopping mall. You shoot it looking down the middle of the mall at eye level. Might be a great shot, but IMO there is nothing unique about it because this is the POV from which this scene would commonly be viewed. Now, take the same scene but shoot it from directly overhead, whilst suspended from the roof, looking down on the mall. Same scene, but now it's rather more unique in so much as this is not a POV that would normally be seen. My original post was merely pointing out that IMO there are a fair number of entries in this challenge that are more akin to the first example I've provided, rather than the second. |

Edit: got beat by someone already laying it on you !
Huh...that does not make sense.
A mundane point of view is just that...straight on everyday POV...like walking into a house and taking a photo of the clock on the wall in the same aspect/position as you see it all the time. Now lay on the floor and take a photo of the same clock and now you have something in a UNIQUE POV. Unless these people that you speak of are from the planet "layonyourback" then....oh well, you understand, don't you?

And I agree with you fully. I was just pointing out that SOMETIMES what may seem like a regular point of view to some, may seem unique to others, based on their surroundings. I think that is why some of the photos in the challenge seem mundane. The others ARE just mundane, like the photographer never even tried. I originally was only partially agreeing with you on what you are saying.

Sure wish I would get more comments. Their should be a way to not allow someone to vote a score lower than a five without leaving a comment. |

Last time I was on planet layonyourback, they put the clocks on the ceiling.
But I totally agree with what is being said here. |

Mine got to as low as 4, I nearly freaked, then it started slowly creeping up thankfully, it's got a unique POV as someone stated, and a fave as well.
Not the most terrific score but better than 4.

I need to score another 6 in a challenge to fill my top 4 with 6's. I think if my POV was more original this image could have done it.
