WELL DAMN IT!
It's happening again, just like in all my challenges recently and exactly like in my entry in the "FENCES" challenge where I still complained about this trend yesterday. Started off really well with 6.235 after some 20 votes. Now at 5.8750 after 30 votes. And one comment loving my image and giving it a 10.
I had really hoped that finally my jinx was broken but it seems to me that no matter how lovely an image I enter it will always get an below average score. :(
I think I am now going to sit and cry in a corner.
Is there life after DPC?

Recommendation: shut off scores, wait for about 50 or 100 votes (look at the thread to see when people are posting that number) and then see where you are. If you like the photo, then you have succeeded. If you don't like the photo, don't enter it. |

So incredibly disappointed, was sure my entry was an easy 6. Think I'll take  bassbone's advice and shut off scores for a few days :-(

Recovered from the early tactical voters and doing reasonably well at this point. Comments include one minor criticism which actually suggests something I tried and didn't feel it worked.

Am I happy you left comments! Sometimes I feel that people vote on thumbnails.
I am doing poorely so far. All that glitter is not gold.
But from the little that I glanced, in its entirety, a much more interesting challenge submissions.
