Hoping for the weather to cooperate and hopefully I'll be able to take some nice pictures at the Kite Festival at the Smithsonian mall tomorrow. If anyone is in the area and is interested....

I love Kites! That is a sure sign of Spring! I would LOVE to see your kite shots!

| The kite festival may be cool and it looks like the weather is going to be great. But I'm holding back from making definite plans because I'm for sure going down there next Sat for the cherry blossoms. IMHO one of the most primo photo ops of the year in DC. Today's paper is predicting the peak to be Apr 2nd-4th. |

I'm so upset...I was heading down tomorrow, but now my camera is at Canon for repair.
I wanted to go down for the blossoms really bad this year, but I have to have surgery on April 2nd. Figures....
Will they still be in bloom a week after the peak dates? |

Perhaps, but depends on the weather. So `tis too soon to say but if you remind me mid-week I'll give you a better assesment. |

It was rainy and wet this morning so I bailed on the Kite Festival. It did clear up enough later that I took my daughters fishing...

Cruised the Tidal basin late yesterday afternoon. I think the peak will cone earlier than originally predicted (4/2-4). But the tourists are out in force and parking was non-available, LOL.
Cute little gals Trinch. That is two dressed the same isn't it? How old are they? |
