Hi I have a read a post similar to this. But my problem is that when I put my EN-EL3e battery into my D90 --- nothing absolutly nothing. It worked fine last week. The screen is blank and it wont even show battery life.
I charge the battery at the charger flashes but then after a while it stops flashing. I think its charged but hey still does not show up on the little screen on my D90.
Please help not sure whats up.
Im hoping its the battery and not my camera. |

How long does the charger flash before it stops charging? A bad battery will often appear to charge quickly, but what is happening is that it is taking less charge, so when current stops flowing, the charger indicates it is done.
I bought a bad battery on Amazon not too long ago (thought I was buying a brand name and they shipped me a Chinese brand X) and one of them was bad out of the box. The charger would flash for a few seconds and then indicate it was done, but it was taking no charge at all.
I presume you only have the one battery right now?

It happens after a couple of hours. But surely the camera shld recognise it. Im using the MH-18h charger. a couple of days ago I left on overnight is that what the problem is you it overchargered and well malfunctioned. Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks again

A couple of hours sound like a normal charge time. I'd suggest getting hold of another battery to try.

Okay will do. Its still charging now after the lights went out but even after an hour it should at least show up on the LCD small screen. |

I don't know what voltage a D90 battery should be, but the label on the battery should have that printed on it.

batteries for the d90 are around $7 on amazon now, so Remove & Replace is a viable debugging option. |

Well, did it stop blinking and go to a steady light?
Have you checked the voltage of the battery?
The output of the charger?
How old are these items?
Have you had any sleep?
Do you live anywhere?
Is it close to where I live?
Would you like me to loan you a known good battery?
