If you can't remember, I could swap that with my 40D, it's easier camera :P

@FocusPoint - LOL, I still have my 40D as a backup. I was so absolutely stoked with my photography back end of last year when I upgraded, and then promptly got ill - perhaps it was from delayed shock at spending so much money!

Despite having an amazingly bokehry portrait lens, I can't help but think that nothing but macros will be in the running for this challenge... I have a provisional bokehry portrait to go but may have to crack out the long macro....

Anyone willing to have a look at a couple of potential entries I have for the Bokeh challenge, to help me decide which to enter? Happy to reciprocate.

This one I would have loved to enter but I captured this 3 weeks ago in the backyard of my parents home in South Africa whilst on holiday there.
"Koppie Foam Grasshopper Pyrgomorphidae"
A close-up photograph of the Koppie Foam Grasshopper or Rooibaadjie(Redjacket) (Dictyophorus spumans) from South Africa.
The red warning colours indicate that this Grasshopper is poisonous. When threatened, it produces highly toxic foam.

Well, for better or worse, I'm in. I like my shot, even if no one else "gets" it.

Good luck to all!

Nothing but snow, wind and cold for the past week. Not sure I should enter a weak image. Probably won't.

Snow and wind? Surely there is bokeh there. Put on your snowsuit.

Or stay in your birthday suit. You can do a lot through a window. (Hmmm... Keep that in context, please.)

The issue is the flatness of a monochrome world of ice and snow and gray sky. Sometimes the weather just shuts out the opportunities.

I'm in. Score guesstimation : 5.6082

Have you not a dog or a wife or a child or a caber that you can send colourfully out into the monotone?

I learned quite a while ago not to submit images of family members or treasured canine companions. All the cabers are under a foot of snow. Might be best for me to sit this one out. Votes have been very severe for me recently, and/or I'm in a slump.

I'm tired. I really want to go to bed. But.....I cannot go until voting starts and I get ten votes. I could try, but I know I'd be awake wondering about the first ten scores. So, please everyone vote as soon as voting time starts so I can get to bed soon.
Thank you for your cooperation. :)
