This has been a continuing problem in Northern Ireland, where many young people become part of terrorist groups, simply for power/ prestige/etc and have no real interest in having all that end and finding themselves as unemployed(able) thugs.


I suppose this is part of the problem of having, for example, someone like Arafat as president of the Palestinian Authority.
And on the other side of the coin, we have Ariel Sharon as Prime Minister of Israel.
