my memory card, Micro SD wont work. I'll put it in the camera, not locked, and then when i turn the camera on it says that its lokced! Whats going on? anyone know whats going on? i really need this fixed within 12 days...

Is it locked when you open it on the computer? Maybe the camera is just reading it wrong and you can format it on your computer to fix it...

...or smash it with a hammer.

Is the card's plastic case chipped near the read only switch? I've had that happen and lock the card.
Can you write to the Micro SD from a computer? (if so, that should mean the card is OK, and you've got the lock switch in the correct position to be able to write to it)
If there is nothing on the card, you can always try to format it in the camera - or in the computer.
The T1i does not recommend using a Micro SD with the adapter in the camera for fear the adapter / micro SD will jam in the camera.
Do you have another SD card that works in the camera? (if so, that should mean the camera's SD slot is working OK)

BTW - a spare is always a good idea...

well i have 2 other 4 gb and the one that has issues is an 8.... i would like to not have problems with it... and the other cards have been working fine. i just need it for a wedding.... and i hope that 16 total will be enough... :/

and i could format it if i had the 'sufficiant privilages' on the computer.

It's still ok to blame the equipment. ;-)

I hate it when equipment gets all stupid. I find it's good therapy to phone Bell tech support and ramble on to someone about a make-believe problem. It doesn't matter if its camera gear, just phone Bell.
