I just got this from canon's website!
28-300 f/3.5-f/5.6 L IS
and
70-300 f/4.5-f/5.6 DO IS

Notice that the Exenders do not work with these lenses

Did they happen to say when they're going to come out with an affordable 10-1000mm f1.0L zoom?

True but I think (correct if wrong) you can but AF doesn't work, or
you have to get the sigma extender, or something like that.

That 28-300 sounds mighty versatile, but the price tag of $2499 (I picked this up from dpreview.com) is mighty steep to go with it.
