My son's 5th grade class is having an Invention Convention next month. They are supposed to come up with an idea and present a working prototype. It has to be something that hasn't been registered with the pattent office.

We are coming up empty.

Any ideas out there in DPC land?

Thanks!

If it's truly an unregistered invention then it should be patentable. Is the school planning to help the kids file the paperwork?

You might consider a "Rube Goldberg" type device, which "does" many things, but which accomplishes nothing ...

Outriggers for rollerblades? For stability, like training wheels? Should be doable, prototype-wise.

Hehehe Robert... are you suggesting ole farts like me could take up roller blading. I can see me now, swishing down some steep incline, frantically searcing for something soft to land on. :O)
