Will be visiting Washington DC and New York from April 2 - 8. Please suggest places to visit in DC and New York.
Travelling with 2 teen aged kids (18 and 15).
Planning to visit "The Mall", "White House" in DC and State of Liberty and Times Square in NY.

You'll be in DC just in time for the Cherry Blossom Festival, so definitely try to get to some of those events (or just hang out by the cherry trees at sunset for a classic photo op). For NYC, I'd recommend the Empire State Building, even though it means spending ages in lines, just because it's an epic view at the top. Oh, and there's always plenty to see in Central Park. As for the rest, I'll let the natives throw in some ideas :)
