So I found a used 5D with only 3000 actuations... for $1000. Everything is in working order, it's practically brand new! I hardley have the cash (though could come up with it) but I am so tempted to pull the trigger *biting nails*

I loved the 5D when I originally had it... Would love to have one again lol.

Oi Vey!!!!

Dang, sounds like a pretty good deal. I still love my ol' 5D dearly; after 5 1/2 years, the image quality still makes me smile. I understand your dilemma.

I think you should go for it. Reading some of your latest posts it doesn't sound like you're going to be happy with a point and shoot for very long. A grand for a full frame sensor in great condition...how can you beat that? The real question is...cause you know how the bug works...do you have any lenses left over to go with that camera?

That would be a great match for your 50mm! I too loved my 5D. It has given me excellent images. But better yet, joy from using it.... I too agree, that price is great!
So eat Kraft Dinner and get that lovely camera back!

Luckily I still have my 50mm, and my 480exII, tons of CF cards too which will hold me over till I can grab a 24-70 again.

Love my 5D. You would enjoy the camera, if it is, as presented.

The shutter actuations of the 5D are not easily displayed or read. Who verified the 3000 actuations?

Yeah, Ive had a 5D previously.

I have to verify the actuations. I have a program to do so. But, no scratches whatsoever (not even the hotshoe is scratched)

Awesome. See...it's kismet, there was a reason you held onto the flash, lens and CF cards. Seems to me that the time has come and you are presented with this opportunity as validation. :)

Is the 480EXII a combination between the 430EXII and the 580EXII?

Actually there is no Canon 480EX II, but it's a common typo or mind lapse for a lot of users. He either has the 430EX II or the 580EX II, and apparently mixed the two together without thinking...or again...a typo. :)
