Google the acronym "DP" and get:

Acronym/Definition

DP Data Processing
DP Dot Pitch
DP Doctor of Pharmacy
DP Deep (drafting)
DP Deep
DP Depth
DP Double Penetration
DP Double Play
DP Digital Photography
DP Democratic Party
DP Data Protection
DP Development Project
DP Death Penalty

And so forth to the tune of 193 definitions...

//acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/DP

And oh, yeah, I wish we had a store too!

I have a feeling that if Langman tries this once, he probably will quit his day job and just sell stuff...

well, maybe at least pay for a new server... pay for electricity, pay for hosting... etc. and keep the member fees for gas, movies, dog food... etc.

;-]

That hat is priceless... He has the one I saved for myself. I even don't have any hats anymore :-\

Please keep signing in here. As big as the list goes, better chance we might have.

(Most likely a bumper sticker and a shirt for myself... and a coffee-mug ;)

I think it would be cool. I'd buy a t-shirt, ball cap, camera strap, coffee mug and a bandana/doo rag/skull cap. :)

Art Roflmao and I spoke about this at some length during the last Seattle GTG, I have a hard time understanding why someone would not want to make more money. Being someone on the outside looking in, it really just seems as though Langdon has a lot more important things in his life and leaves this place running on autopilot, so to speak. I may be wrong, but that is the appearance.
I am not of the belief that just because we are members we have a say in how the site is ran, but if a large portion of your longtime paying members would like to see something implemented.......

A store would be great, sure. If 5-7 years ago, the powers that be had added a simple way to review equipment, imagine how much better of a resource that DPC would have been. Bear_Music or Brin giving in depth analysis of wide angle lenses for Landscapes, Kirbic or strangeghost on lenses for astro-photography. Librodo, Pedro, Heida, LalliSig, Njsabs reviewing portrait lenses. Skip or MattO(who has now been through three brands of cameras) reviewing cameras as professional photojournalists. Or that rare lens that is only owned by 2 or 3 people and you wonder what their impression of it is. What, if anything, jjbeguin would have liked better in his magical Sony DSC-828. This was such a waste of the large body of smart/friendly photographers who openly shared their knowledge that were once here. A simple link on a profile allowing you to see what equipment a photographer has reviewed in their arsenal would have added a real value here. How hard could the coding have been? We already have a system where we can comment on photos! How hard was it to slightly edit that code to be able to comment on the equipment page? I hear it is coming soon...

ETA: Not sure why jjbeguin's profile photo shows up at the end of this message, I removed "insert link to profile" around his name and MattO's profile photo showed up! Strange.

***Sigh***

What others have which we don't have :(

Please sign up here people. Make Langdon believe he can be a millionaire if he wants to (exaggeration is optional)

Becoming stagnant has caused some of these greats to leave. A I have only been here for a few yrs and a facelift would be nice with new features like you mentioned.
A more modern look, perhaps a black interface, with redesigned pages would be a nice change and may even attract new members.
A page with all the DQ,d ribbon winners would be helpful and interesting to see. A Hall of Shame if you will or not. Gives someone a reference as to why it got DQ.
A voting breakdown graph I mentioned before. Much like the one you see after voting, but only a real time breakdown under your score on the left margin would be a nice added feature.

Sorry to hijack, but it is obvious that changes are few and far between. So a store that you you propose, may be a long time coming.
