Maybe there isn't a challenge this week because Langdon doesn't like any of our suggestions.;)
Here is a fun one I thought of:
Take a photo with what you think you are known for, (ie, photo impressionism, portraits, seascapes, mountainscapes etc.) and then we all try and guess who we think took them in the comments section. Kind of like puzzle Macro, only guessing the photographer instead of the subject. |

That sounds like fun. Does that mean you need to be known for something in order to enter? Or might we mimic someone else?

This has been done before in January 2010
But I wouldn't mind doing it again, especially since I hadn't joined yet to participate in that challenge

[Challenge Description]
Description
Comments on challenge entries sometimes offer guesses as to who the photographer might be - let's have some fun with this. Whether it be distinctive subject matter, technique, post-processing or a combination of all three, reflect on your own work and submit an image that tries to communicate your 'signature style'.
We did this last year, January 2010. Great fun. |

| Dang I missed it I wasn't around yet. Sounds like it was fun, but if it was done that recently then maybe it needs to wait a bit longer. |

One of the fun things about these repeated challenges is that
unless we feel we have made the definitive image of all time,
there's room to either improve, or reinterpret the challenge.
this one could be interesting. |

| This one might be tough for me. I don't think I can recognize my signature style. It is a work in progress at best. |

actually -- what would be fun is
someone else's signature style
You cannot do your own -- you have to emulate someone else's and see how well you do. |

I'd suggest "signature style" and allow for your own or someone else's. I think what happened last time was that people who had no signature style didn't want to miss the challenge so they entered just anything. |
