Take a photo that has only 2 colours. For this challenge white & black will not be considered as colours and may be present as background colours. You will still need 2 colours in your photo. |

Hey, it got picked! And my description is a little more coherent than the "official" challenge description. ;)

Oh Oh! Here comes the "selective desat" challenge. Should be fun. |

Totally not what I had in mind when I suggested this. |

I had a great idea until I read the description a little closer. I really wanted to use white as my other color. Not as the background but as one of the main colors. Oh well, time to rethink this. |

I'm counting grey as a color in voting :)

I'm not surprised. I've come to understand that the region between black and white is very very wide for you. Certainly not a sharp hairline of grey. More of a 798 pixel highly feathered and Gaussian blurred line possibly with a hairline of black and white on either side, I'm thinking.
Just one of your self acknowledged charms! |

Totally not what I had in mind when I suggested this. | What did you have in mind? That was my understanding too - desat and leave 2 colors, all shades of grey and all shades of the two colors can be present. Not the case ?? Or is it about a studio shot with a perfect flat light so only one shade of each of the two colors is present and white or black backdrop? Any examples to help with understanding of this challenge? |

I can't claim to read minds, but I was thinking that Karen meant more like the complimentary color challenges. In those challenges, there are two main colors. However, the twist here is that the two colors don't have to be complimentary. Here's the most recent Complimentary Colors challenge. |

Pretty much how I interpreted it. |

Yup. That's what I figured too. But I also think selective desat could be interesting. You don't usually see that with two colors. I'm looking forward to seeing both options in the challenge. :)

Most of Top 20 for Complimentary Colors are studio shots that I cannot do here :( |
