Figured this was as good a place as any for this.
I have a paypal account. Thusfar, I've only used it for purchases. What do I need to do to accept payment though it? |

You'll need to go through a couple of steps to verify your account to upgrade to premiere, which included having a checking account attached to the paypal account.

I'm sure I do not have a premiere account, and I can accept money. Perhaps you mean for business purposes, rather than personal?

Pretty much depends on HOW you want to receive them. Yeah, you can receive money by someone going to paypal account and entering your e-mail address, etc.

Paypal has put a couple or cents or so into my account to verify it - and that account is a checking account.
So all someone has to know in order to send payment to me through paypal is my email addy? |

Yep, just your email address that is linked to the paypal account.
Do remember that you will be charged to receive the money. |

Not always. If the transfer comes from the senders paypal balance or a bank account, there is no fee. If it comes from a credit or debit card (even one attached to the aforementioned bank account) then there is a fee to the recipient. I had to go hunt down that info after noticing sometimes I got hit with a fee and other times I didn't.

Yeah, I read that somewhere. I need to check into those charges but I think it's gonna be way worth it.
I make seminole patchwork that I ship to Canada. She pays me in US dollars but I always have a hard time cashing her money orders.
Also I'm thinking about offering some of my work thru ebay and esty.
I also did a shoot for a girl who lives a couple hours away. She too is sending a money order (her choice) but I just thought it would be way easier on both of us to go thru paypal. She's in college so I was really surprised that she didn't use paypal. |
