Just curious, are there any stats posted for ribbon winners broken down by camera models?
Wait a minute, I don't mean broken down ribbon winners, I mean stats showing what kind of cameras the ribbon winners used.

None officially, however I wouldn't put it past someone to pick up the flag if folks are interested in it. It's data that could be collected (scraped) pretty easily from the site. It's not data that is validated as correct though; for instance, I could enter with a different camera and forget to change my default camera or lens. |

Interestingly, the 15 images on the front page right now were created with 13 different cameras, with one of the two duplicates due to the fact that Scott won two ribbons. I don't think there's usually that much diversity. |

I think that we have done this subject before in the forum threads.
My feeling is that it comes down to the number of owners of the different brands that are entering the challenges. Lots of owners, lots of ribbons, few owners, few ribbons. Generally it's Nikon vs Canon, since those are the two most popular DSLR brands.
The skill level, knowledge and talent of the photographer are more important than the hardware. Good hardware makes it much easier to get the shots though.
