photography is always a portrayed as a precursor to terrorism.
but whats funny is, when something actually happens, the authorities are glad we all have cameras. Oh and a side note to an any government agency monitoring this forum, if I were to be planning a terrorist attack, you can bet your ass i wouldn't be drawing attention to myself taking photos with a large DLSR. I'd be just a tad more discreet. |

Paranoia can be a fun diversion. I don't believe any agency is too concerned with this forum.
I did recently purchase a pinhole video camera for 25 bux. Runs an 8gig MicoSD card and measurses
about 1"x1/4"x3/4". The video it takes is simply amazing. It is shaped like the control key fob
for an automobile. Secreted into clothing it could prove amazing for recording security procedures
without much chance for detection. |

Yeah, Like ordering the building plans from the relevant government body so I could see all the stress points in the building to know where to place the explosives..... This one may be a whacko but the whole SLR = terrorist is discusting (as are a number of things related to any bill with "freedom" or "patriot" in their names - I want some truth in labeling like we have for food). |

Whats good is I do bridge rehab work in the northeast and we have actually had to get security clearance and background checks to even work on jobs for certain agencies, its also protocol to lock up plans at the end of each day, depending on who we are working for.
whats bad is when i go on site i am rarely if ever asked for my credentials. Often we show up on site and the operator's don't even know we are coming, we just say here's my card, i work for so and so, i need to go inside and look at whatever. i get let right in.
so when you go out to photograph, just put on a hard hat and reflector vest, just like you're supposed to be there.
