I don't know if this has been done before or not, but here is my suggestion:

Photograph a landscape in which there is at least one person present.

I like this idea! A human in a landscape scene often lends scale. The task would be very challenging.

That is actually my favorite kind of landscape. I always think the human element adds mood and interest to a landscape.

perfect! I don't do landscapes, because the landscape isn't that interesting here. But this would be fun.

Do you consider something like this "enough of" a landscape?

Nope. It's more like a snapshot; a family picture.
I imagine some kind of subtle link between landscape and person. Unless we go only for contemplating nature.

Yes, Paul. I love that! In your example, you have used the people in the foreground of your image which is one option and it is totally fine. One other option would be using them in the far background. Basically my point is that the people in the landscape shot don't have to be the main focus of the image but they can be if the photographer chooses so. I can see unlimited possibilities here. A challenge like this could generate amazing images. It could also motivate people who are not a big fan of landscape images to go out there and shoot.

One of the best images of this type was a blue ribbon winner by my DPL teammate njsabs.
I continue to love this image.
