I donno... A lot of times it's good to think about the topic again. This time around, it got ME looking at YouTube. Did you know Queen is NOT black? Don't laugh... I had him confused with Prince, probably. And guess what? He's a HELL of a performer. So thanks for the necromancy, people; I know something I didn't used to know :-)

I watch his videos, when I want inspiration for a shoot as well.
Another brilliant, clean video, so simple but so effective

so bear, you don't sit around watching music videos without hearing them? My brother used to turn the sound down on american bandstand and watch. It was actually quite amusing.

Used to, in the glory days of MTV. Liked to watch Michael Jackson videos, especially. Not anymore though.

I've been a Queen fan since I heard Queen II in high school. But if I had to pick the best vocalist ever, Harry Nilsson would be on the short list.
Just recently rediscovered him. What an amazing voice.
Great documentary you can stream on Netflix - "Who is Harry Nilsson, and why is everybody talkin' about him."

I like to ride my bicycle, I like to ride me bike....
Fond memories of that one on the jukebox, upstairs in a Toronto bar on... Queen Street. That was back in 1992 or 1993. Somehow the sound and setting has really stuck in my head. |
