Hi all.
I had *bad* pins on my CF slot, so i replaced it with another slot. And after that my camera doesn't work. When i put battery into body - shutter releases, closing battery cap - same, when push ON button - same, and after 20-30sec camera releases shutter every 3-4 sec. Works only top display (some buttons too).
I have another body of 20d (some parts), so i can replace bad details, but where and what i don't know :(
Can anyone help?

Hmmm. Well, I assume you had to do quite a bit of disassembly to t change the CF slot connector. There are really two possible reasons for the misbehavior:
1.) You sustained some ESD damage or mechanical damage (e.g. cracked solder joint) to the electronics during the process of repair
2.) There is something that was not connected properly during reassembly
Neither scenario is going to be easy to diagnose, however it may be fruitful to just re-trace your disassembly and reassembly steps to see if you may have buggered something. |
