Can someone explain this wish list thing to me? I cant find anything on it or a option to select it. I have a photo showing someone selected wish list and i am curious as to what it means. |

I saw this and thought I'd leave it for someone better qualified to answer. Well...
I believe this ties into DPCPrints, which is a mechanism to sell prints of photos you upload to DPC with DPC taking a cut. A Wish List hit means that someone is potentially interested in purchasing a print of your photograph. (Congratulations -- it doesn't happen to any of us often.) The next step would be to make a printable version of the image available. Click DPCPrints in the menu bar for more information.
To answer your other question, I only see the Wish List option available on images that are in voting. Go into Cast Votes under Challenges and look at any photo. There are two checkboxes side by side. One adds the photo to your favorites, the other adds it to your wish list.
This is my understanding of how it works. It doesn't appear to be well documented. Maybe someone else can add to this.

I know a few photogs that have smugmug accounts for displaying and selling and when they choose the purchase option, it is setup to take them to DPC prints! Cuts out the percentage taken from SM and benefits DPC. :)
I, myself, have never processed a photograph to be able to sell on DPC...yet! I'm still learning! |
