Hi all, just wanted to see if I could get some comments on my first self-portraits ever.
I have my new AB800s. Was using one in a softbox camera left, one in an umbrella camera right behind me and a bare speedlight camera right bouncing into ceiling with an index card providing a little fill forward.

No tripod, so camera was resting on a ladder and I had to use the self timer to take them all. PITA.

Thanks. I don't think I'm that photogenic so I was just wondering what you thought of the lighting/overall quality. |

I'm a martial arts instructor. If you use the proper technique in a photo it blocks part of the face and the light :) |

I also like these very much. And contrary to your self-assessment, you are photogenic :-)
I find the two-toned wall distracting though, but the lighting is even and balanced. |

in the 3rd photo i really like how the right edge light accentuates the facial expression. nice shots and very nice light. |
