Ok, so I prematurely deleted some pictures from a "project" I created in Aperture 3.

All the raw files are still in the library... none of the masters have been deleted.

But how do I get those pictures back into my project? Or how do I create a new project to import them into?

I am going MAD over here and can't find the answers I am looking for... I guess I don't want to hear that I have to go through the "Finder" and look at the Aperture library and hand-select each picture to put into a new project...

I don't have a quick answer for you, but just wanted to ask, did you actually empty the Aperture 3 trash folder? I've deleted stuff before and then realised that they were still in the Aperture trash folder as I hadn't emptied that.

Well, I imported them again into aperture from my cf cards... but i don't get the organization thing with Aperture and how to preserve hard drive space for the future...

To create new projects
Do one of the following:

Choose File > New > Project (or press Command-N).

Control-click a project, then choose New Project from the shortcut menu.

In the dialog that appears, enter a name for the project in the Project Name field.

Click OK.

The new empty project opens in the Browser.

the problem was putting some deleted pics back into the project... the pics were still in the library but not in the project... maybe i actually DID delete the masters but i thought i was seeing them in the aperture library (in the finder) and couldn't see them in the project
