So I'm forming a new team for my local ice hockey organization and am having a serious creative block. It is a "b-league" recreational team, so no extremely advanced players. Most of the guys are 30s-40s. Location is northern Utah. Some ideas that have come up are Regulators, Goons, Hit Men, Outlaws and Prospectors. I want something that is catchy and memorable. Does anyone have any input on the current suggestions, or any additional suggestions?
Thanks for your input! |

I don't care for any of those with "criminal" connotations, and Prospectors is too long. It might help to know the names already in use by the other teams, and some notable characteristic about your part of the state -- unfortunately, I've only driven through once on I-80, so I didn't get to see some of the best parts. |

Hmmm ... how about Buzzards or Old Buzzards? Or Vultures? You'll be around to pick up the pieces when the other teams are dead meat ...

I play in a large league here in Ottawa. Browse through and steal a name, I am sure noone will mind. 19 divisions of 6 teams each.
Ottawa Travelers
I play with the Slashing Pumpkins! |

Doing a quick search on the state of Utah I came up with these.
Rocky Mountain Elks (state mammal)
Salt Flats
Arch Nationals (after the park)
California Gulls (state bird)
Honey Bees (state insect)
Stingers
Pioneers
