I love my Rebel T1i and my Canon G11. The G11 is so easy to use and I can see all my tweaks in real time before I shoot an image so WB and exposure adjustments are easy, but the sensor is still small and I am stuck with the one lens. When is Canon (and Nikon for the Nikon fans) going to come up with a non-reflex body with a four-thirds or APS-C sized lens that is full time "live view"?
I am in no hurry to buy a new SLR or a new compact but I would grab one of these in an instant (as long as the lenses were compatible with the SLR mount).

I figure Canon and Nikon are going to be the last ones to the large sensor compact party. I don't think their late start is going to do them any harm however. No doubt they are gauging the market and determining what aspects the others are lacking in.
Sort of on the subject, I am expecting to pick up a lightly used G11 of my own this weekend. Looking forward to having this as the camera that I can always have with me, and it will be very nice to have when riding my bike.

Rumours are that Nikon's should be coming sometime this spring. Not sure how accurate this is, but ...

| Honestly, I'd be happy if either company put out something like the DP2 with a small zoom range covering approximately 24-70 and no choice to swap lenses. Like a DP2 that functioned like it should with a short zoom. Oh man would that be awesome. Same thing with the Fuji X100. I could probably justify the price if it had a bit of a zoom to it. |

Sorry, Mojo not included, one has to acquire that the hard way it seems. I thought that was the case with the lens I bought from Scalvert, which Ellen is now using, but she hasn't ribboned with it yet.

You should have gone with an Olympus system...

The ability to do wide angle digital pinhole photography makes it tempting to go with a 4/3 system.

Being an ew convert to micro 4/3, I follow a decent rumor site
Micro 4/3 Rumors
they have some good info about the chatter going on on the format. |

They are nice systems but the lens line-up seems expensive and I did want a true DSLR. But I think an EVIL would make a nice addition.

| I'm very happy with my Olympus micro 4/3 setup and have no regrets. It's perfect for travel and walk around. I still prefer my DSLR for macro and still life shots but that could change. |
