It looks really cool but I can't imagine it is any good for the ecosystem. Someone is definitely going to be in trouble.

Yeah I was laughing pretty hard when I saw it coming out of the water fountain, in the news story. They said it could cost tax payers 100 000 dollars to clean up though so I bet quite a few people are pretty angry haha.

The funniest part is that there's a river called Goldstream.

here's a follow up story. it doesn't appear that any damage is happening, but you never know. it will be interesting to see if CSI: Vancouver Island solves it ;-)

It sure was funny looking, but I can't think it's good for the salmon. Non-toxic doesn't mean non-harmful in many cases. While the fountain is funny, the stream is taking too big of a chance.
