I'm thinking of video recording my shoots. I want to do it for a couple of reasons. It will help with protecting myself from any false claims but also I can artistically editthe videos and post them to you tube with music or even add it to my services offered.
Have any of you done this before? What spec of camera is really needed? I'm assuming an hd recorder with 1080p and 5mp would be enough. Bow difficult and time consuming is this process?
Any info or advice would help.

No, it only proves you did nothing on camera. Period. So strike that from your reasoning.
That said, it is fun to have shoot video for behind the scenes stuff.

I get a kick out of making silly videos. Silly to me anyway. There are a bazillion different recorders out there. I've used a Canon A95, some sort of waterproof Panasonic, and currently the Samsung under my screen name to the left.
They're all dandy for having fun. I've experienced some heartache moving to HD the last few weeks, but believe I have all the bugs worked out now.

Looks like I'll just add it to my long list of items that I want and need....well more that I want than need. That list is getting way too big. But I think it would be great practice for my next shoot. |

If anything, I think recording yourself during your shoots might be an education in self-awareness. |

Yeah..speaking of self awareness I already shot a complete set when the model had the corset on backwards and upside down! Didn't know it until halfway through editing it.
But I'd like to see how I'm actually doing on shoot and how I can approve. Wow. Okay so now that want is turning more into a need. |
