Feedback: I have used the D80 now for 6 months since the sensor was replaced, in the past 4 weeks I have been into hot humid Africa with it (Kenya (dry and hot) and Ghana (humid and hot)) and I used it in and out of air-conditioned hotels into the street where the wall of humidity hits you as you exit. This of course is not good for electronic equipment where it helps along the build up of condensation inside the camera.

The D80 has performed flawlessly and no more banding.

I hope this forum thread helps others who had this problem as I battled to find any info in this regard online at the time.
