I wonder where they thought the inmate who designed the sticker got the image?

Texas sued.

It's sad he had to resort to legal action... sounds like he tried diligently to get them to work with him after he found out about it. Shame on them.

hmm

.33 cents x 5 million stickers sounds about right with todays stock prices. For punitive damages, if it were legal he would have made only 33 cents from that photo. har har

I'm pretty sure an image that has made him money for 25 plus years is going to demand more then .33 LOL But I'm sure you were joking anyway.

hmmmm. It says a "Comfort photographer". I assume he's from a town called comfort, but it really does make you wonder what a "comfort photographer" would do. :)
