Last year, the Eye-Fi card was launched, and up to now, it's still quite expensive. This year, a Singaporean company, Trek, who claims to be the "inventor" of the thumbdrive, makes another claim of creating the "first" wireless SD card. They call it the Flu-Card. It's relatively cheaper. The 8gb costs only about US$100, compared to Eye-Fi's more expensive 2GB.

It may be a cool accessory, or not. So, has anyone used any of them? Any feedbacks on them? I'm tempted to buy one, but don't really know if it would be that useful other than for a quick upload to Facebook:)

uum....
Under features:

SERVER UPLOAD
Wirelessly upload photos to a store-and-print portal with 2GB of free storage space
PHOTO SHARING
Enable photo exchange between Digital Cameras & WiFi embedded devices
MOBILE CONFIGURATION
Use Smart Phone and PC to configure and access content in FLUCARD©
SHAKE 'N' SEND
Send and share photos by shaking the Digital Camera

aah, I don't really think I'll be shaking my d300s and 70-200 2.8!!

In any case, the concept seems remotely interesting; uploading the files to a remote server as you take a photo means your data is immediately backed up.. (if that's how it works).
I wonder if you're locked by proprietary software to use their 'online services' to store your data....

LOL:)

So, the Eye-Fi card (which is from the US, not asia) is also available here. I just wonder if anyone here has experience on using them.

Yeah, the automatic backup seems like a valid excuse for giving in to the temptation of buying one.
