A big milestone - our 5 yr old wee lad just got his first camera today and couldn't stop snapping. He was way better at it than I would ever have thought. He inherited our old Canon IXUS 950 IS since it has been collecting dust for over a couple of years.

He's still a few years away from entering in DPC challenges though! :)

Here he is. Just a LITTLE excited!

And here is Thomas' very first picture. He focused, snapped and tilted - all in one single motion. Perfect! :)

Awesome. He looks like a natural. I got Riley a cheapo camera last year and he loved it, but the camera sucks and I think it's time for an upgrade of some sort. Too bad you live on the other side of the planet - we could have a preschool GTG. :-)

Hey Thomas, That is a really cool picture of a pretty good size boat. Looks like you thought about how to frame it and the rail and you did a great job. Keep up the good work and let us see some of your pics from time to time. David

Sign him up! Fill out the DPC Waiver for Minors language you'll find in this thread and send it in. My son Isaac ended up ahead of me in the standings with this shot when he was 5-1/2 years old ...

You can ask for permission to help with editing, uploading, etc.
