This is a pretty good deal, I thought I'd share. I bought this 36" octabox for use with my alien bees B800, but it can easily be used with a speedlite as shown below. You'll need a superclamp and a bungie cord to hold the flash in place (my image doesn't show the bungie cord, the flash is just resting in the hole).
If you search Amazon for Fotodiox, you'll see that they have other sizes. They also have umbrella type boxes which are supposed to be easier to set up (which I'm sure they are, this one is a pain in the butt to assemble), but they are more expensive.

| Does anyone know if there are mounts that hold a lightbox like this with a ring mount and a speedlite (with a coldshoe) - similar to the ones that hold a speedlite and umbrella? Clamps and bungie cords don't seem like a desired setup. |

If you're willing to spend the money, yes.
$112
//www.cheetahstand.com/servlet/the-38/Cheetah-Qbox-24/Detail
$136 (just for the bracket)
//www.kaceyenterprises.com/?page_id=461
For $28 ... you're looking at clamps and bungie cords :)
