The 10D also dropped in price.

by how much?
and also rumours from a dealer in Malaysia, that there's a replacement for 10D prolly by end of this month. Now the 10D is out of stock for Malaysia.

Don't see a drop yet at any of the reputable sellers in the states. Will be interesting to see how much it comes down.

...or IF it comes down. The Digital Rebel has been selling like crazy at its current price and stores are only now starting to keep up with demand. Rumors of a price drop have been around for months, but Canon would be foolish to drop prices now when its selling so well.

All Canadian retailers have dropped prices as of today.

This is the SMARTEST thing Canon can do with the release of the Nikon D70.

I just got a 300D at the Futureshop. Already had $50 knocked off with their "Lowest Price Guarantee" because I saw it advertised at CameraCanada for $1449. Hope it goes lower before the 14 day price match period expires. :)

edit: It's now $1320 at CameraCanada. Here's the link: //www.cameracanada.com/eNet-cart/Default.asp?cat=CAMSLR&type=1#start If anyone sees it advertised anywhere in Canada for less, please PM me, if you don't mind

I paid $2500 last year ... mid April I do believe. No regrets though ... the fun I've had with this camera in the last year is worth much more than $500.

Sounds like Canon is running scared of Nikon's newest entry...selling on price is the last resort.

Them there are fight'n words partner...put'um up

It sounds like it would be smart to drop the prices a bit when another company releases a new entry. the fence riders would be pulled right in. Like me. I am keeping my eye out now!
