This was from the Wings Over Houston Air Show today. First time I have really tested this lens and I will say that it impressed me.

Impressive shot at that focal length, no doubt you know how to handle the camera as well but man that is sharp opened up like that. Nice.

eta: going to check on the price of that lens lol Would make a nice addition.

jminso the lens performed beyond my expectations. I started the day with it on my monopod but that was a pain so I took it off and shot free hand the rest of the time. Both photos I posted where shot free hand. Both shots where taken towards the end of the air show so, that was after about 5 hours of holding that big lens and camera. What I am getting at is the IS in the lens works great.

I think I may have to put that lens on my wish list... Man that list is starting to get long.

I took these last year with the Pentax K200D and Sigma 150-500mm, handheld and just resized to show detail. Second one is 100% crop.

Full size version is outstanding. Great lens. You got a good one. :)

No noise issues here. Wendy should take a look at this image. She's having noise problems with her 7D.

I saw that thread. There is something wrong with her 7D.

The DPC specs for that lens say it's a "prime". ?

I never noticed that. Wonder why it says that.

I sent her a PM about it, don't know if she saw it. She must have me on ignore.
