WONDERFUL idea, but sadly they happen to know that I recover from injury remarkably fast and will no doubt get sick of taking care of me soon so I'll most likely be back at it sooner then later.

I'll chime in as someone else with experience - 3 ruptured tendons in my right ankle about 5 years ago - that following doctors orders really is the best way to go. Which means staying off it and letting it heal.
For what it's worth - I LOVED my air cast. Sure, wasn't able to run in it, but I was pretty good at keep up with my kids (1 and 3 at the time).
Sadly, I still have problems with that ankle.
