		| I had to look very closely before I could even tell the difference. I'm guessing they took yours and edited it slightly. It's an outrage. |

		| Send him a DPC threat to never ever photograph a water drop or you'll sue him for water-drop infringement. |

		Ha!

 Surprised that that photo won, though. If I had taken that photo it wouldn't even occur to me to enter it in a contest. |

		| I think the judges were giving this gull too much credit. Its not being too defiant to move. Its just too stupid to get out of the way. |

 That's where we get the word "gullible", probably :-)

		@tate:

 Now... had you taken a picture of yourself while setting up for and taking your shot... "defiant Photographer", perhaps in B&W, would have been an instant classic.

 I agree. That wave looks more like a bucket of water being thrown at it.

		I did an overlay of the two photos and only found a slight difference in them. It appears there was just a slight rotation to keep the photo from appearing as an exact copy. I think they also did a slight white balance adjust to change the color of the bird.

		HA!
 thanks for the laughs everyone!
 I was also a bit surprised â€Â¦ maybe the environmental headline could be:
 "Polluted waters make birds deaf and possibly stupid enough to just plain not know what's going on."
