| I had a reply from the Site Council... it is a school photography class and not someone with multiple accounts so for that side of things at least everything is legitimate. Now that's resolved I'm going to get voting on it and give out some love! |

I came back to challenges on this one, i'm really desappointed with some shots too. I have a 4.29 but maybe that's enough for the top20, lol.
Well, but i don't wanna be unfair...there are some really nice shots in this challenge, like always. I just had to search for them a little more.

| interesting...i just came from partial voting on this challenge for two reasons...wondering if anyone else had noticed the similar entries....and to see if anyone else was as down on this challenge as i was...i'm voting lower than my average vote and it doesn't seem like anything is grabbing me |

i think you are referring to high school maybe?
in the public school system here, they start in elementary school which is Kindergarten (around age 5) and go to 6th grade (age 11).
Then we have middle school - 7th and 8th grade, and then high school where you finish the 12th grade at age 18. The parochial schools have a different layout where the elementary schools are grades 1 thru 8. |

which is no longer the standard across america...that's how it was in NY...but in Florida it's 6-8th grades in middle school....
now back to our regularly scheduled scoring thread. the second half of the challenge was higher voting for me, finished around a 5.5, and yes, there were some very nice images hidden in there... |

That's with me intentionally inflating some photos that were fairly mediocre, but clearly from people who tried to do something creative or unique, to achieve something close to an average of 5.
Definitely a lot of suspicious cell-phone / out-of-focus photos. I agree that it was a pain to grade this challenge. I think some IP-blocks / bans might be in order. |

Wow, you guys weren't kidding. That has to be one or two people who registered multiple times.
The rest of the images were pretty standard across the board (e.g. a good mix of scores). If I take out all of the "odd" images, my average score given is a 5.62. |

| im not expecting much from my entry but now id really feel bad if one of those jr high students and those taking photos from cellphones score higher than me. low low average votes. :( |

I generally vote gradually over the week, 20 images here and there at a time, definitely so if it's a big challenge. I don't so them all in 1 sitting. Ok, so that only accounts for 1 vote difference, but presumably others do the same? |
